It has completely stopped working in the last couple of days. Does not seem to be able to relink after unlinking. You might have a more graceful start to your mornings. And remember, the Google Home can be used to help you sleep in other ways too. You can, for example, ask the Assistant to play ambient sounds like distance storms, raining, or white noise to help you drift off.

This feature was previously available in the Hue App under the Routines tab. The “Wake up” and “Go to sleep” features allow you to set all or some of your lights to fade in or out at a certain time over a given period of minutes. This new functionality makes it controllable via Google Home and adds another level of convenience to your day. Their Philips Hue lights with subsequent morning alarms with the Google Assistant. Every time the user sets their alarm on the Google Assistant, Philips Hue lights will naturally wake the user up with a sunrise effect commencing 30 minutes beforehand. Users can say “Hey Google, Turn on Gentle Wake Up” which will sync their Philips Hue lights with subsequent morning alarms with the Google Assistant.
Philips Hue users can activate their favorite routines through Google Home
See how Philips Hue smart lighting can help you at every moment of your day. Philips Hue will begin rolling out the Gentle Wake Up feature and sleep lighting effects in March. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled and can not get it to work with google assistant. Here you can add devices, click the plus button or add more devices to load the selection list.

Features
Philips first announced this integration at CES earlier this year, with a planned rollout in March. Looks like that took a little while longer, as Google and Philips gently brought this feature to life. Your light will now appear in the Home app and can be controlled with Google Assistant. Tap the back arrow icon to return to the main screen of the Google Home app. All your Philips Hue lights and Rooms will now be listed. How you connect Hue lights to Google Assistant depends on whether you want to connect with a Hue Bridge or Bluetooth.

You will be able to set Hue lights to sync with your morning alarm so your lights gradually light up as they would in sunrise mode. If you have set up Hue and added it to Google home then great, but what if you then add a new bulb in the future and you want to add this to Google Home. The Philips Hue and Google Assistant sleep and wake up feature works with just a simple voice command to your Google Assistant. While the price of white Hue bulbs has come down in recent years, colored hue lights remain rather pricey, with single bulbs going for around $40.
Google Assistant can now ‘gently’ wake you up with Philips Hue lights
As part of this update, Philips Hue is also introducing the ability to have the Assistant set sleep lighting effects. By telling the Assistant, “Hey Google, sleep the lights at 10 p.m,” your Hue lights will change to a warm white tone and slowly fade 30 minutes before your sleep timer. Users can also schedule manual wake-up or sleep modes up to 24 hours in advance, too.

For now, it seems like the Gentle Sleep & Wake feature only works with Hue smart lights, so if you use another brand of bulbs, you’re out of luck. Gentle Sleep & Wake is available starting today in English in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore, and India on Google Home devices. Users will be able to set sleep by saying “Hey Google, sleep the lights at 10pm”, changing the lights to a warm hue that gradually fade over thirty minutes.
The brightening lights should wake you up over time instead of abruptly like standard alarms. It's not working as designed right now, but once it is fixed, there is a 'scheduling' function available in any custom routine you make in Google Home. So, while it doesn't necessarily tie it to your Sleep Cycle app and automate after the alarm, it does allow you to indicate a specific time of day that you want it to trigger every day. Adding via the Google Home app, you log in, then are prompted to “simply tap the big button” to authenticate.
Of course, this feature has been a part of the Philips Hue system for some time, and can be controlled via the Hue app . Many Hue and Google Home owners — this writer included — probably already have such a system in place. The same new system can also be used to help you drift off to sleep, lowering the brightness to zero over a 30-minute sunset simulation.
I use Sleep As Android for my alarm and for my Hue light to wake me up. I then use IFTTT with Sleep As Android to turn on my living room lights when I dismiss my alarm, but you could easily set that up to trigger a routine instead. SAA has IFTTT integration via webhooks so it's fairly easy to setup.

Not only does this mean that it’s incredibly easy to set your Philips Hue wake up settings but it also removes the need to use your phone just before bed to set an alarm, which can be disruptive to falling asleep. The Philips Hue sleep and wake up feature in partnership with Google Assistant, differs from the previous edition as it now allows you to control the feature using just your voice. It also works in conjunction with your Google Assistant alarm, gradually waking you up and bringing your lights up to full brightness just as your alarm goes off.
No connection to Google at all, cant log into account in setting, just asks for permission and blanks out, blank web page when connecting in assistant, abslote waste of time, so very poor be sending straight back. Reconnected Google Home, add the hue, redirected to the hue site to acknowledge Google Home can use the device. Login/Authorise – Once selected you may need to login to your Philips Hue account and authorise access for this app, you may also need to pair with the bridge depending on your set up.
When instructed, the Google Assistant will turn up the lights from zero to full brightness over a 30-minute period, simulating a sunrise intended to wake you up just before your audible alarm goes off. After your sunrise, customize your Wake up automation to extend through your morning routine to keep that peaceful feeling all throughout your day. Google introduced a very similar feature with the release of the Pixel 3 and Pixel Stand. When the phone is docked, users can choose to use a Sunrise Alarm. As the name suggests, the Pixel’s display will gently brighten to simulate a sunrise. “Hey Google, turn on Gentle Wake up” to have your daily morning alarms pair with gradual brightening.
Every time the user set’s their alarm on the Google Assistant, Philips Hue lights will naturally wake the user up with a sunrise effect commencing 30 minutes beforehand. You can either trigger these light changes through an alarm or with a command that starts them immediately. If you say, “Hey Google, sleep the lights,” then all of your lights will begin to dim until they shut off entirely half an hour later.
